I was born in USAFA, Colorado which is the Air Force Academy base located in Colorado Springs. Since the age of five I have lived in my hometown, Plano, Texas. From a very young age, teaching has been something I have felt very passionate about and as long as I can remember it has been my desired career field. At the age of twelve I began working as a teacher's assistant in a Sunday School kindergarten classroom. As a high school student I volunteered my summers at Camp Tejas, a Plano Independent School District (PISD) summer camp for students with special needs. Working alongside PISD teachers, I gained invaluable experience with the children. When I was a senior attending Plano West Senior High School, I applied for the Early Childhood Development course and was accepted. The course was application-only and double-blocked (two class periods long). This allowed me to go off-campus and work in nearby elementary schools as well as our on-campus preschool. After high school I attended the University of North Texas and began obtaining my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-6th with a focus in Special Education. In the Fall of 2011 I transferred to Texas A&M Commerce where I completed my degree December of 2013. After graduation I became a substitute for Plano Independent School District while continuing to substitute for Torah Day School of Dallas and work as a second grade teacher at a local Sunday School. For the 2014-2015 school year I began my current position at Torah Day School of Dallas where I co-teach first grade boys, general studies and provide support to various students within the school as a Title 1 Tutor through Region 10.
